Peter Steere to Lead Europe, Middle East and Africa
MSL has appointed Peter Steere as Chairman of its EMEA region that includes about a third of the company’s business and more than 1,100 employees across 30 markets in Western and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He will report to Global CEO Guillaume Herbette and serve as part of MSL’s Global COMEX (management committee).
MSL leaders who report into local country Publicis Communications and Publicis One leadership will also have a dotted line to Steere. The leaders of the MSL units CNC and JKL will report directly to him.
In 2010, Steere was appointed co-CEO at MSL’s JKL unit -- its strategic corporate communications advisory group in the Nordics. Steere has broad experience over the course of more than two decades as a strategic communications consultant, specializing in Public Affairs, Corporate Communication, Crisis Management and Reputation with significant international experience. Steere joined JKL as a consultant in 1997 and became partner in 2004. He opened the firm’s Copenhagen office before serving as MSL’s EMEA public affairs lead.
Steere will build on MSL’s success in driving collaboration and integration of our business with its Publicis partners. He will seek to coordinate and streamline the MSL offer, lead the regional new business operations, further develop MSL’s business in Brussels and expand the MSL regional footprint into important new markets.
MSLGROUP is currently the largest PR and communications agency in Continental Europe, the seventh in the U.K., fourth in Africa and with last year’s consolidation of the six-office LeoComm PR Network under the MSL Middle East brand, a strong player in the Middle East.
